Air quality: a European concern

Every year, according to the European Environment Agency, hundreds of thousands of deaths are linked to air pollution. How, then, can we not be concerned about air quality? According to an opinion poll published in June 2022 by the OpinionWay Institute and conducted in 5 European Union member states, 82% of Europeans say they are worried about the risks associated with outdoor air quality. In France, 83% are concerned and 33% are even very concerned. It must be said that in the majority of the countries surveyed, nearly one person in two has already experienced or seen relatives experience discomfort or problems related to outdoor air pollution in Europe. However, while the vast majority of people surveyed say they are worried, according to the same study, only 3 Europeans out of 10 consider outdoor air quality to be poor.
