Tamic® for heavy vehicles

The heavier a vehicle is, the more fine particles are emitted from its braking system, which are harmful to health and the environment. TAMIC® has been designed to address this. Designed to fit all types of vehicles (trucks, buses, coaches, light commercial vehicles, refuse trucks, etc.), TAMIC® is a complete system for capturing fine particles on brakes, consisting of a control, suction and filtration system, to eliminate up to 85% of the emissions caused by brake use.

After focusing on the automotive and railway industries, Tallano Technologies decided to integrate heavy vehicles into its research and development process.

Whether buses, coaches, light commercial vehicles (LCVs) or heavy goods vehicles (HGVs), when braking, heavy vehicles generate fine particles that are harmful to health and the environment, particularly in city centres. The greater the weight of the vehicle, the greater the volume of fine particles emitted.

Presentation of TAMIC® Road

The TAMIC® system, which is now available and being industrialized, is a suction system for fine particles from braking. The system is composed of several elements, including grooved brake pads, which give the system its major advantage: a capture efficiency of more than 70% of fine braking particles, one of the best on the market.

Applications for TAMIC® Road

TAMIC® Routier is suitable for all types of vehicles (trucks, refuse collection vehicles, light commercial vehicles, buses, coaches, etc.).

A breakthrough innovation, a success on the "road"

In 2021, TAMIC® Road was presented for the first time on a light commercial vehicle at Solutrans alongside the Petit Forestier group.

In 2024, TAMIC® Routier was delivered to the first IVECO-brand household waste collection vehicle operated by the City of Paris.

In June 2025, the first of 50 IVECO BUS buses equipped with TAMIC® Routier was delivered to the city of Mulhouse. The deployment is carried out in partnership with IVECO BUS, Soléa, Transdev and Mulhouse Alsace Agglomération.
